Saudi Arabia has revealed first images of its pit building and parts of track/paddock for its 2021 F1 race to be held in Jeddah.
The F1 race in Saudi Arabia was confirmed last year for 2021 in Jeddah albeit at a temporary street course, while the permanent circuit is being built in another region. It was given a slot as a double-header with Abu Dhabi, to be Middle East’s third event.
The Saudi Arabia GP will take place on December 3-5 – for now. It will also to host the F2 races as a support event. The circuit has been designed in close collaboration with Tilke GmbH & Co. KG and the F1 team under the leadership of Ross Brawn.
The 6.175 km long street circuit’s first look was shared back in March, with 27 corners. F1 predicted three DRS zones for the layout, with the average speeds estimated to be around 250 km/h, alongside the water front – much like Monaco and Singapore.
As work continues on the streets of Jeddah for its debut in December, the organisers of the Saudi Arabia GP has shared first proposed images of the new pit building along with parts of paddock/track. The mini statement notes: “Our 4-storey, 280m racing hub will house all team garages, race control centre and exclusive Paddock Club premium hospitality.”
