The British team, Williams Martini Racing had to withdraw from today’s pre-season test at Barcelona. The reason, car so damaged due to Stroll crash.

Williams can’t be really happy with the performance of the team this first 4 days of testing. They only were able to test out of problems during day 1 with Felipe Massa.

Afterwards, Lance Stroll took over the car on second day and only completed 12 laps after run off at turn 9 and damage the unique front wing that the team had in the circuit. Yesterday, the Canadian continued in the FW40 but despite the 98 laps completed, he crashed at turn 5.

This crash required a thorough inspection from the team overnight, to decide at the end to not test today due to safety reasons. The Grove team will be back next Tuesday with a new chassis.
