BRDC Super Stars Jake Hughes and Callum Ilott have taken the pole positions for Sunday’s FIA Formula 3 European races at the Nürburgring.

In a rainy session, Jake Hughes (Hitech GP) finally got his first pole position of the season for the second race of the weekend. The Briton will be ahead of his compatriots Callum Ilott (Prema Powerteam) and Lando Norris (Carlin).

Following with a great performance, Tadasuke Makino (Hitech GP) will start from the fourth position, just ahead of Ferdinand Habsburg (Carlin), Ralf Aron (Hitech GP), Guanyu Zhou (Prema Powerteam) and Van Amersfoort’s Racing of Joey Mawson, Max Defourny and Harrison Newey.

The starting grid for the third race has been decided with the second fastest lap. This has fallen into the hands of Ilott leading another British one-two-three with Norris and Hughes. The rest of the top 10 places were similar but with different order.
