When the green flag returned, the battle for 5th position intensified between, Harrison Newey, Ben Barnicoat and Sergio Sette Camara. The Brazilian overtook the British for fifth, while in the lead, Stroll already had 2.5 seconds over Russell.

But the safety car made another appearance when Günther crashed at the exit of Rivazza turn,a fter lost the control of his car. So all the pressure was on Stroll who had to finish the race to take home the championship.

At the restart, Eriksson overtook Russell for second position by outside at Tamburello, while Camara went off and droped to eleventh position.

The FormulaRapida.net backed driver, David Beckmann was running on 6th position after start 12th. The German spun off at Villeneuve chicane and caused the last safety car period.

That helped a lot to Guanyu Zhou who overtook Newey at the restart to finish in the top 3 of rookies classification.
