After Andrea Stella move to Woking based team, McLaren confirmed that when contract he had with Ferrari allows it, he will join the team to be Alonso’s engineer, as he was for the past five years.
Restructuration process in Ferrari brought Andrea Stella out of the team. The engineer of Ferrari era for Fernando Alonso made good relationship with driver from Asturias and was a key personality for Spanish driver superiority in front of his team mates.
After knowing his depart to McLaren, it was fairly evident that he would not be able to work at first; engineering contracts in Formula 1 have strict clauses so that information transfer to competence is avoided. However, McLaren announced that when the agreement he had allows him, he will join the british team to be Alonso’s right hand.
Despite clause is not specifically known, for sure that, if needed, McLaren and Stella will negotiate with Ferrari so the engineer can be in Australia and start this new challenge from the very first step.
