After ending the season on a high note the Toulouse-based squad is taking on promising young hot shoe, Simon Gachet, for the 2015 season in the Eurocup Formula Renault 2.0. The team says it has every confidence in him and is delighted to have the 21-year-old driver carrying its colours in 2015.

After two years in FR 2.0 Simon Gachet has chosen French team Tech 1 Racing to help him climb onto the topmost step of the podium in 2015.

Simon is a young ambitious driver aged 21 who has already racked up a remarkable set of results. “I never did any kart racing and I started in singles-seaters in 2011.” It was a great season as Simon won the VdeV championship that year and emerged victorious in the Euroformula Volant. In 2012, he joined the Autosport Academy and finished third in the French F4 Championship. For the last two years he has been learning the ropes in FR 2.0.

After the 10 days’ testing at the end of 2014 with the Tech 1 Racing team Simon and Sarah Abadie say that they are very happy with their new recruit. “We’ve been following Simon for around three years,” explains Simon, the Tech 1 Racing team manager. “We’ve seen that he’s got real potential: he’s going to become a key member of our team as he has what it takes to score excellent results. Testing went well; now all we’ve got to do is to work hard over the next three months to get the season off to a flying start.

The driver says his aim is, “winning and getting the best results for the team.”

The team is happy to have such a driver and is ready to “give its best so that his potential blossoms!”

Thus, everything seems to be in place for Tech 1 Racing to add fresh victories to its laurels. Rendezvous at the end of April for the first Eurocup race at Motorland Aragon to discover the skills of this new recruit.
