The friend of Schumacher and former Team Principal of Ferrari, Jean Todt says this morning that the German is still fighting after suffering severe head injuries in a skiing accident two years ago.

After 22 months since his skiing accident in the French Alps, the seven-time Formula 1 world-champion was medically-induced coma and spent 6 months at Grenoble Hospital before regain consciousness to back to his home in Lausanne by September 2014.

But today, FIA president, Jean Todt speaking at a media briefing offered a small insight into Schumacher’s situation:

“Michael’s a close friend, his family is very close to me. We must keep him fighting with the family. I see Michael very often and Michael is still fighting” said Todt.
