2015 FIA Formula 3 champion and Formula E title contender Felix Rosenqvist -he is 2nd behind ex-F1 driver Jean-Eric Vergne- believes FE is the best chance of forcing his career to F1.
After a great start in FIA Formula E, Swedish driver has said he is confident he is where he wants (in FE) because “is the best option I have to compete in F1 in the future”. Formula 3 champion has said FE is where are the best drivers who are not competing in F1. “I find this is the best place to be rather than DTM or F2 or IndyCar.”
If Rosenqvist was able to earn an F1 opportunity, he would not be the first driver to race in FE before making his grand prix debut. Red Bull protege Pierre Gasly before the French driver made his debut with Toro Rosso team.
About the last race of FE in Santiago (Chile), Rosenqvist claimed he took the right decision because “coming from zero points and being at 12 already was the best for the championship”.
