Najiy Ayyad Razak, driver, Fortec Motorsports Eurocup Formula Renault 2.0 team

“I am very excited to be joining Fortec Motorsports for the 2017 Eurocup Formula Renault 2.0 season. I raced the 2013 FR2.0 car in the Asian Formula Renault series last year and came third in the Championship, but I know this season will be challenging, especially learning totally new circuits. I feel confident that I have a great team behind me and would like to thank my family and supporters who have allowed and enabled me to race in Europe this year.”

Martin Young, Head of Formula Renault 2.0 Program, Fortec Motorsports

“We are very pleased to welcome Najiy; he knows the car, he finished third in Asian Formula Renault, but the European tracks will be new to him. Everything is ready to go! The cars are built, we have done a lot of preparation and simulator work, and we are looking forward to being back on the track. This season should be challenging, but we really want to return to the top and Najiy completes a great stable of drivers to achieve that.”

2017 shall be the 27th Eurocup Formula Renault 2.0 season organized by Renault Sport and the second time the championship has featured as the main category of the World Series by Renault. The series will visit ten circuits around the Europe, including the jewel in the Formula One crown, Monaco.
