Three drivers have suffered penalties after the first race of the Formula Renault 2.0 Eurocup in Barcelona.

CIRCUIT DE BARCELONA-CATALUNYA | The first race of the Formula Renault 2.0 Eurocup has not gone unpunished for some drivers who have suffered penalties after this first race in Montmeló.

The first penalty was for Raul Guzman (R-ace GP), who finished in 10th place but was penalized with 25 seconds to be blamed for his touch with Alexander Vartanyan (JD Motorsport). In this way, the Russian ascends to the tenth place to take the last point of the Race 1.

Second, Thomas Randle (AVF) has been disqualified from the race. The reason was the insufficient amount of gasoil in his tank at the end of the first race. Thus, the Australian remains in last position without points, having achieved a meritorious eleventh position that with Guzman’s penalty would have been the tenth, which would have given him a point that he will not have in his locker.

Finally, Charles Milesi (R-ace GP) has also been penalized with two positions in the starting grid of the second race in the Circuit because of causing an obstacle in a maneuver of overtaking. However, the Frenchman maintains the ninth position and the two points.
