Dani Pedrosa has taken his first victory of the season in MotoGP after a great comeback at Twin Ring Motegi. Jorge Lorenzo loses a lot of title chances after finish third behind Valentino Rossi.

Wet races always are amazing and unexpected, but surely anyone expected the thrilling of today’s MotoGP race at Twin Ring Motegi where Daniel Pedrosa takes his maiden win of 2015 season, after beat the championship contenders, Valentino Rossi and Jorge Lorenzo.

The race start was under wet conditions and Lorenzo managed to make a gap with Rossi who was followed by his compatriot, Andrea Dovizioso, Dani Pedrosa and reigning world-champion, Marc Márquez on sixth place.

It was looking a good race for Lorenzo, we all thought that it was going to be, again, like Motorland, a Lorenzo monologue. He make a big gap of 3 seconds over Rossi, but behind them, Dani Pedrosa started to comeback at the final 14 laps.

The Catalan rider passed easily the Ducati of Dovizioso, and then 5 laps later, He catch and surpassed Rossi for second place. It wasn’t enough for the Castellar Del Vallès rider who didn’t win any race since 2014 Czech Republic GP at Brno.

The Repsol Honda Team rider, set a solid pace to overtake Lorenzo to take the lead of the race with 7 laps remaining. Immediately the “26” made a big gap with his compatriot who was under pressure by his team mate, who passed him and finished on a final third place.

Fourth was Márquez after overtake Dovizioso in the final stages of the race.

It’s the 50th victory for Pedrosa in his career, and his 27th in MotoGP. Podium finishers were the Yamaha’s of Rossi and Lorenzo, as Márquez, Dovizioso, Crutchlow, Smith, Nakasuga, Barberá and Redding finished on top 10 spots.

In the championship battle with ONLY 3 races to go, Rossi leads with 283 points, 18 more than Lorenzo. Third place is Márquez with 197 points, only 43 more than Pedrosa who is now fifth in the standings, Iannone is fourth between the Hondas.

Next MotoGP Grand Prix will be at Australia in Phillip Island circuit on October 18.
