Alex Palou has signed a new pole position in World Series Formula V8 3.5 for the second race of the weekend at the Nurburgring. Catalan starts ahead of Menchaca and Isaakyan.

In dry conditions, Alex Palou (Teo Martin Motorsport) has taken pole position for the second race of the weekend after set a lap time three tenths quicker than rookie Diego Menchaca (Fortec Motorsports).

Catalan has caused a stir this weekend by beating the title contenders such as Matevos Isaakyan (SMP Racing by AVF) – third, Roy Nissany (RP Motorsport) – fourth, Egor Orudzhev (SMP Racing by AVF) – fifth, Pietro Fittipaldi (Lotus) – sixth, Alfonso Celis jr. (Fortec Motorsports) -seventh, and René Binder (Lotus) – ninth.
