Egor Orudzhev has taken the pole position during the first qualifying session of World Series Formula V8 3.5 at Jerez de la Frontera, Spain. The Russian beat Roy Nissany and Pietro Fittipaldi.

In the first round of World Series in Spanish soil, Roy Nissany (RP Motorsport) started leading the session in the first minutes ahead of AVF drivers Matevos Isaakyan and Egor Orudzhev.

At half-point of the session most of the driver were inside their boxes while Rene Binder (Lotus) who didn’t set any lap time decided to go out in order to drive without traffic. The Austrian driver was able to set the 5th fastest lap at that moment.

At the end of the session Egor Orudzhev was able to set the pole position ahead of Roy Nissany and Pietro Fittipaldi. In fourth position was Yu Kanamaru (RP Motorsport) while the reserve driver of Force India, Alfonso Celis (Fortec Motorsports) completed the top5.
