Porsche has achieve a new double in qualifying, this time for the 6 hours of Nürburgring. The Porsche #18 will start on top of the grid followed by Porsche #19 and Audi #8. In LMP2, pole position for KCMG and in GTE Pro, AF Corse #51 will start on top of the category.
As every WEC session, first 20 minutes of classification are for the GTE, which started with Aston Martin #99 on pole position before the tyres change for the last stint. In that stint, both AF Corse did that stint very early and take the advantage of the yellow flag that caused the Aston Martin #99 that decides the final GTE grid.
Then it was the time for the LMP1 & LMP2. In the early minutes, many drivers had problems on NGK chicane where some driver went off to the track. Anyway, the Porsche’s take the lead and didn’t leave that until the checkered flag. In LMP2 Strakka Racing with his new car started up on front but the KCMG Team in the last minutes take the pole for the category in last minute.
Tomorrow the Race will start at 13.00 local time.
