Third time in a row, Marc Márquez had no rival in a rugged race in Le Mans. The mistakes of his rivals allowed Márquez to leave France with a significant advantage. Petrucci has been second and Rossi third.
The local idol, , Johann Zarco had the pole but the happiness did last much, a crazy start in which the Ducatis headed by Jorge Lorenzo took the leadership. Many took many risks than the necessaries and rider as Andrea Iannone ended out.
Lorenzo leaded, followed by Andrea Dovizioso, Johann Zarco, Danilo Petrucci, Valentino Rossi and Marc Márquez. The current champion overtook the Italian from Yamaha and Pramac and went for the top3 leaders. Behind, Álvaro Bautista and Tito Rabat were out.
Dovizioso overtook his team mate to become leader but he only last two turns in first position. He lost the control of his bike and felt scoring 0 points. The fight for the victor continued among Lorenzo, Zarco and Márquez, with Petrucci leading the pursuer group with Rossi and getting close to the leader.
Márquez attacked Zarco, but the French rider resisted and kept the second position until he fell. Márquez took the leadership and next lap did an aggressive overtake to Lorenzo.
17 laps left until the end of the race, Petrucci was second, with a weak Lorenzo. The Mallorcan was suffering due to his soft tires and he lost the third position in favor of Rossi. Jack Miller and Dani Pedrosa were also chasing him. The Aussie rider overtook him a lap later.
The situation was established in the top6, but the fight was nw behind between Aleix Espargaró, trying t maintain the position and the attacks of Álex Rins and Maverick Viñales.
Pedrosa oveertook Lorenzo 6 laps left until the end.Behind, Cal Cruchlow was eighth after overtaking A. Espargaró y a Rins.
Nothing changed until the end and Márquez took his third victory of the year, the third in a row. The Catalan rider was he bes nce again and he had take profit his rivals mistakes, to take advantage in the championship.
Petrucci was on the pódium for the first time this season with a magnificent third position. Rossi returns to the psium after a few races. Miller, Pedrosa, Lorenzo, Viñales, Crutchlow, A. Espargaró and Rins complete the Top 10.
Obviusly, Márquez is the leader of the championship with 95points, followed by Viñales with 59, Zarco with 58, Rossi with 56. Iannone, with 47 points is fifth.Next: The Italian GP in the emblematic Mugello, on Juny 3th.
