Marcus Armstrong has taken his first victory in ADAC Formel 4 during a chaotic Race 1 at Red Bull Ring, Austria. Michael Waldherr and Nicklas Nielsen completed the podium.

Marcus Armstrong (Prema Powerteam) started from pole position and took his first victory in the series despite all the “cautions”. Ferrari protégé never was challenged by Michael Waldherr who damaged the front wing after been passed by Jonathan Aberdein.

But the Neubauer Racing driver with a fresh new front wing after a red-flag period, overtook the Motopark driver for his best result in the series.

But the race was chaotic in general, an early red-flag was cause by a pile-up due to a contact between Andreas Estner and Fabio Sherer. When the race was restarted with 15 minutes to go, Tom Beckhauser went off and stopped his car in the gravel, which caused a safety car period as well.

In the championship standings, Juri Vips is back in the top of the list with 3 points more than Drugovich. Hanses is third with 9 points less, while Shramm is 16 points behind in fourth position. Nielsen is 5th with 19 points less than the Estonian.
