Kiern Jewiss has led the F4 British testing day held in Brands Hatch (Indy layout) after a morning dry session and an afternoon wet session. Seb Priaulx has finished second with Johnathan Hoggard third.

Eleven drivers were in Brands Hatch for the F4 British pre-season testing. On a day on which the track was dry during the morning and wet in the afternoon, most drivers set their best drivers in the morning. Only Arden, Fortec, Double R and Sharp took part on the test.

Kiern Jewiss, who was testing for Double R but has no guaranteed seat on the series yet, took the best time with a 52.976, almost two seconds ahead of Seb Priaulx, who will make his series debut with Arden this year.

Jonathan Hoggard, who raced for Fortec in some races last year and seems to be returning to the team this year for a likely full-time debut, finished third.

Dennis Hauger, who is to make his series debut with Arden, finished sixth overall but was the quickest on the rainy afternoon session, followed by Patrik Pasma, another Arden entry, who raced with Carlin last year; and Jack Doohan, one of the most expected debuts of the upcoming season, also with Arden.

The 2018 F4 British season, with only four drivers confirmed so far, is to begin the 7th and 8th of April at this same venue, the Indy layout of Brands Hatch.
