French driver Julien Falchero joins Campos Racing for the 2017 season in GP3 Series.

The 19 year-old from Valence started his motorsports career in 2015 taking part in Formula Renault 2.0 and French championship V de V Challenge in endurance racing and single-seaters.

In 2016, he was completely committed into Formula Renault 2.0 championships with R-Ace GP alongside Will Palmer and Max Defourny. With a seventh place as best result, he finished 13th of the Eurocup championship. He comments:

“A new challenge in 2017 in GP3 Series with Campos Racing is an extraordinary opportunity. The tests in Abu Dhabi and the integration within the team in Valencia in Spain are a real treat for me. I’m going to prepare for the best physically this season 2017 and have as Coach a great former French F1 driver, Jean-Pierre Jarier, who agreed to take care of me with the goal to occupy the first places on the grid.”

Falchero made his debuts in GP3 in the post-season testing in Abu Dhabi were he showed “promising, steady progress” according to the Spanish team. Adrián Campos adds:

“I´m very happy to welcome Julien to our team. We really worked well together in Abu Dhabi. We were impressed by his maturity and I´m sure we can have a good season.”

Julien Falchero is the first rookie to be confirmed on the grid in GP3 as such as the first Campos Racing driver to be announced.
