Jolyon Palmer has been confirmed as one of the members for BBC Radio’s broadcast of the Formula One World Championship in 2018. The Brit will follow the path of previous drivers like Anthony Davidson or Jaime Alguersuari.

Palmer finished his F1 career last year, when he was replaced by Carlos Sainz at Renault after a very disappointing season. Jolyon started only 35 races in F1, with a best finish of sixth in Singapore in 2018 .

“I’ve worked with Jennie and Jack a lot but am more used to being grilled by them! It’s going to be great joining them in the commentary team and to get to ask the questions myself”, said Palmer.

His commentary booth teammates will be Jennifer Gow and Jack Nichols. The BBC F1 live feed includes commentary for every practice and qualifying sessions, and of course, every race of the season. They also include analysis and videos, which are uploaded to their website.
