Lewis Hamilton has set the fastest lap in FP3 of Monza, before the Qualifying session. Behind him, Rosberg set the second fastest time and Vettel the third one.

After 10 minutes, Grosjean suffered a spin that caused a Virtual Safety Car period.

Alonso and his teammate, Button, were trying to make some good lap times with soft tires, the only compound they used during the session.

In the second part of the session, both Mercedes tried to do Qualifying laps, and Hamilton scored the Pole time reference (1:22.008). However, RedBull drivers were doing long stints, because both cars went full of fuel.

Toro Rosso were suffering big struggles with the engine. Kvyat has been almost all the session the worst time, 3.810 seconds slower than Hamilton. But with 3 minutes to go, he improved his time to get the 20th position. Sainz was able to get P13, but Toro Rosso has had some problems with the engine and the telemetry.

In the final minute, Palmer had an off-track, but the car didn’t suffer many damages.

Finally, the Top3 was the same as yesterday’s FP2: Hamilton, Rosberg, Vettel. Räikkönen, Bottas, Massa, Ricciardo, Verstappen, Pérez and Gutiérrez completed the Top10.
