Maximilian Günther places himself as a serious title contender by joining the still unbeaten Prema Powerteam.

Even he if spent most of his rookie season with kfzteile 24 Mücke Motorsport and scored his sole victory at Norisring with the german team, Günther also raced with Prema Powerteam during the season finale in Hockenheim, replacing Japanese F3 champion Nick Cassidy.

The twice runner up in ADAC Formel Masters comments on his confirmation:

“I’m very happy and proud to be part of the Prema family. The first race weekend with the team in Hockenheim as well as the testing days afterwards have been very impressive for me.

“I’m very much looking forward to a successful cooperation in the future. I already can’t wait to drive the first race next season.”

Team Manager René Rosin adds:

“He impressed us all as a really quick and consistent driver and those are the two major elements needed to be a successful part of Prema. So we did not miss the chance to sign him and I am proud to have him for the 2016 season.”

With Ralf Aron and Lance Stroll, Günther is the third driver confirmed with Prema Powerteam for 2016. This places Prema as the favorite contender for the team title. Prema is also the team with most drivers’ confirmations, even if we are still waiting for a proper confirmation of Ben Barnicoat addition to the team.
