Antonio Giovinazzi has took his fourth victory this season in FIA Formula 3 European Championship in the Dutch circuit of Zandvoort. The Italian gets his second win in a row, wining in front of the genius driver in this circuit, Felix Rosenqvist. Markus Pommer completes the podium, as Leclerc finished fifth.


The nineteen race of the championship had Antonio Giovinazzi (Jagonya Ayam with Carlin) starting from pole position, alongside was Rosenqvist (Prema Powerteam), in second row started Pommer (Motopark) and Dennis (Prema Powerteam) as the championship leader, Charles Leclerc (Van Amersfoort Racing) started from fifth place.

It was a clean start without accidents. Giovinazzi kept the attacks of Rosenqvist and started leading the race. Behind the top positions, Jake Dennis lost all the options to get points after receive a jump start penalty.

The leaders made a big gap with the drivers who has been battling for third place, Markus Pommer, Lance Stroll (Prema Powerteam) and Charles Leclerc. But the action happened at the middle of the field where the drivers contact between them. Lorandi, Moreno, Tveter or Ferrucci, after a big battles had to stop in the pits to change the front wing.

Felix Rosenqvist drove like no tomorrow, without errors but he never found the opportunity to overtake Giovinazzi who took the first race of this weekend. Markus Pommer completes the podium, and in point’s positions finished: Stroll, Leclerc, Russell, Albon, Jensen, Jeffri an Maisano.

Thanks to this win, Giovinazzi is 27,5 points behind of Leclerc, Rosenqvist have a 58.5 points of gap with the Monegasque driver. Fourth in the standings is Jake Dennis who is 90.5 points behind the Van Amersfoort Racing driver.

The second race is going to start this afternoon at 3.40 p.m., central European time.
