Luca Ghiotto has achieved the pole position for the first round of the GP3 Series championship held at the Circuit of Barcelona-Catalunya. The Italian has dominated the session; Top3 to accompany the French Esteban Ocon and Emil Bernstorff.

The first ranking of the season began with a Ghiotto (Trident) as the fastest around the circuit, but stopped at the Italian box and not quite round, the same did the other riders Trident, Jenz, Carlin and Koiranen. A Status Grand Prix however, came later.

Esteban Ocon (ART Grand Prix) as well as in the free yesterday began leading the session. A few minutes later it was Alex Palou (Campos Racing) who took out this site, Pal Varhaug (Jenz Motorsport) was placed third.
