The first season of Formula V8 3.5 arrives to the final race, the championship decider at Barcelona. Only two drivers can win the title, Louis Delétraz or Tom Dillmann.

The Formula V8 3.5 survived will after his first season without Renault. The Jaime Alguersuari series had to leave the “World Series by Renault” project, and join some events in the GT Open calendar. Things are looking well for next year as FIA WEC support series.

This season only Delétraz and Dillmann were leading the championship. Now they will fight for the title in the last race of the year at Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya. This year was all about consistency and the Swiss and the Frenchman drivers usually scored points this year.

Louis Delétraz arrives now as championship leader by 6 points. The Renault protégé have this options to seal the title in his rookie season:

Louis Delétraz Tom Dillmann
P1 P2 or worst
P2 P3 or worst
P3 P2 or worst
P4 P2 or worst
P5 P3 or worst
P6 P4 or worst
P7 P4 or worst
P8 P5 or worst
P9 P6 or worst
P10 or worst P7 or worst

In the other side, Tom Dillmann is the driver that AVF team was waiting for since the debut in 2013. The Frenchman who have this options to win the title:

Tom Dillmann Louis Delétraz
P1 P2 or worst
P2 P5 or worst
P3 P6 or worst

So we can highlight all this, Dillmann needs to win the race to win the title, he need a great pace and great strategy as well as good pit stop to stay on top. Deletraz is just hoping to finish on place in front of his rival.
