The Finnish driver managed to beat Lewis Hamilton’s best time in the morning and also claimed the fastest time of both testing days, eight tenths faster than Hamilton yesterday.

Today, Hamilton was 23 hundredths away from Raikkonen. Nevertheless, the Ferrari driver set his time with soft tyres and the British driver was on supersofts. The Finn ran more than 100 laps during the day whereas Hamilton ran 42 laps in the morning.

Max Verstappen ended third for his secomd day, only 4 thousandths faster than Kevin Magnussen, who confirmed Haas’ good form by setting the record of laps covered with 118 in total.

Esteban Ocon found himself three tenths a drift from the Dane and 45 hundredths faster than Daniil Kvyat with Toro Rosso. Valtteri Bottas focused on his race simulation and ended the day in seventh position.

One second slower than Bottas, we find Jolyon Palmer and the Renault still three seconds a drift from Raikkonen. For his debuts, Antonio Giovinazzi was ninth just ahead of Stoffel Vandoorne who also suffered from engine problems with only 40 laps completed.

Lance Stroll faced difficult F1 debuts with an incident in the morning session which aborted his day in the car after only 12 laps completed.
