Jehan Daruvala has announced that he will continue one more season in the FIA Formula 3 European during the next season of 2018. The Indian will continue in the structure of Carlin, where this 2017 has finished sixth in the championship.

Carlin has made official the name of his second driver for the 2018 season. After announcing days ago the signing of Canadian Devlin de Francesco, from the EuroFormula Open, a few days ago made official the team’s second driver, Jehan Daruvala.

The Indian driver and protected by the Force India team competed last November for the post-season tests of the GP3 Series, but finally decided to stay a second year in the FIA Formula 3 European. The 19-year-old finished his rookie year in sixth place overall and added a first victory at the Norisring circuit.

Daruvala was delighted with this news, stating that “it’s been a fantastic year racing with Carlin. I’m happy to be working with them once again and look forward to a successful year.”

On the other hand, the team boss, Trevor Carlin, added the following regarding the renewal of Daruvala: “It’s great news that Jehan remains with us in FIA F3 next season – he’s been a fantastic addition to the team this year and his results as a rookie have been impressive. He’s already a race winner in the series and no doubt has the ability to add more wins and pole positions to his achievements over the course of 2018.”
