Charles Leclerc takes his third win of the season in a crazy race ahead of Nyck De Vries and Nicholas Latifi.

Charles Leclerc started from pole position ahead of Nobuharu Matushita and Nicholas Latifi.

Matsushita had a poor start which allowed Leclerc to get away easily. Johnny Cecotto stalled on the grid and managed to go again from the pitlane but he misses the second corner and the safety car got in the safety car on track.

At the restart, Leclerc surprised Latifi who got overtaken by Nyck De Vries for P2. Further down, the battle for P4 between Matsushita and Artem Markelov turned in advantage of the Russian on lap 7.

Fuoco, Nato, Canamasas, King and Deletraz stopped on lap7. Canamasas managed to overtake Fuoco but as the Italian tried to regain position, he climbed the Spaniard’s rear tyre and ended in the run off area without having the safetycar to come out on track.

All the drivers at the front pitted during the three laps following the incident except Ghiotto, Boschung and Jeffri. The Malay driver had a lot of difficulty in his 11th lap until ending in the wall tyre, implying the virtual safety car to enter for a few minutes.

A few moments later, Louis Delétraz ended in the wall and the safetycar got on track. At the restart, Latifi tried to pass De Vries again but the Dutchman benefited from the presence of Boschung to pass the Swiss and get away from the Canadian who lost a place.

Leclerc did not take any risk to pass Ghiotto, who still had to pit, which allowed De Vries to come back behind the Monegasque. On lap 19, Ghiotto pitted for soft tyres but a problem on the rear tyre ruined his points chances.

With three laps to go, Gelael hit the wall at T8 and blocked the track to Matsushita, Malja, Sirotkin and Ghiotto. Canamasas also suffered from brakes issues which put him in the wall with three laps to go. The race was red flagged and did not resume.

Charles Leclerc took his third race win this season ahead of Nyck De Vries and Nicholas Latifi. Rowland, Markelov, Nato, King, Boschung and Canamasas and Sirotkin completed the top 10.
