The second round of the ADAC Formel 4 at Sachsenring was useful for Joey Mawson who increased the gap with Mick Schumacher in the championship standings.

The Van Amersfoort Racing driver, Joey Mawson, had a weekend from lowest to highest. On Saturday he could not kept the gap with Mike David Ortmann, and he drove very aggressive to defend from Schumacher and Schramm.

Then on Sunday he proved the aggressiveness that he have to battle with Mick Schumacher for the lead, but he made a mistake which cost him the second place but not the lead of the championship, thanks to the great comeback in Race 3.

So, he is capable to do the best and the worst, but one thing is for sure, He has won three of sixth race and always finished on the podium so, Mick Schumacher must react to that.

The son of seven times world champion for sure has learnt a lot from this weekend. Mick must learn when he must be aggressive, when he has got a rival like Mawson – who is aggressive and it’s on a class of his own. Prema Powerteam driver must know when he has to defend and we he must attack.

This weekend we saw when he didn’t knew how and when had to defend from Mawson on Race 1, or from Ortmann on Race 2.

So we must talk about Ortmann. Who is him? Mike David Ortmann is a Germany driver who is only 16 years old. He is on his sophomore year at ADAC Formel 4, series where this weekend he showed his credentials for championship fight with a double victory.

He didn’t had the best start of the season at Oschersleben, but he avoid the mistakes, he could be the surprise of Mawson-Schumacher fight.

After Sachsenring, Mawson is leading with 126 points, Schumacher is 35 points behind as Ortmann is up to third position with 71 points, 55 points less than Joey Mawson.
